HSE: UP TO €4,710 IN RELOCATION PACKAGE FOR OVERSEAS NURSES

Moving to a different country can be costly, and transitioning into a new role in a foreign land comes with its own set of financial challenges. To help alleviate some of the initial expenses for flights and accommodation, the Health Service Executive (HSE) offers a generous International Recruitment Relocation Package. Here’s what you need to know to take advantage of this opportunity and ensure a smooth transition to your new role in Ireland.

Who is Eligible for the International Relocation Package?

The International Relocation Package is available to all grades of HSE staff. Whether you’re coming on board for a permanent or temporary position, you can apply for this support if you are a resident outside of Ireland and committing to a post for a minimum of two years.

How to Apply

To apply for the International Relocation Package, candidates need to contact their local hiring service. This first step is crucial to ensure you get the financial support you need for your move.

What Does the International Relocation Package Cover?

The relocation package provides an allowance for flight and accommodation costs. The specific allowances are:

  • Up to €4,160 for EU/UK candidates
  • Up to €4,710 for Non-EU candidates

These allowances cover accommodation and flight costs for a period of up to three months, within the maximum amounts specified. To receive these reimbursements, all expenses must be supported by receipts in accordance with Revenue guidelines.

Additional Financial Supports

Beyond the basic relocation package, several other initial costs can be covered on behalf of the candidate. These include:

  • Registration fees to Regulatory Bodies: Essential for practicing in Ireland.
  • Visa Fees: Necessary for legal work status.
  • Royal College of Surgeons in Ireland (RCSI) Aptitude Test Fees: Other required registration fees may also be covered.
  • Philippine Overseas Employment Administration (POEA) Language Testing and Examinations: For the purpose of registration.
  • Recognition Fee / Validation of Qualification Fee: Ensuring your qualifications are recognized in Ireland.
  • Atypical Working Scheme (ATWS) Fee: For certain work arrangements outside the typical schemes.

Making Your Transition Smooth
